All Eliza lip colors are first developed as lip rouges, which are potted lip colors that are applied with a brush. The base consists of jojoba oil, beeswax, cocoa butter, glycerin, kaolin clay, lemon and orange essential oils, and radish root ferment filtrate. Pigments used are iron oxides, carmine, manganese violet, and titanium dioxide. Some carmine-free shades are available, but please be warned that they come from an environment where carmine is used.
Eliza lip rouges are named after classic Hollywood actresses, and are currently packaged in food-grade, recyclable tins. Lids are graced with a photo of the actress the rouge is named after.
